Customer projects series - Customized cleanroom packaging for sensitive devices

The customer projects series enters another round: this time the focus is on a cleanroom packaging solution. The cleanroom packaging meets very high requirements in order to keep the sensitive devices hygienically clean, airtight and sterile during transportation and to store them safely. The customized cleanroom packaging of 100 units was designed, produced and delivered within 16 weeks.

The core competence of AVT Verpatec AG is the production of customized packaging solutions. The repertoire also includes packaging for cleanroom equipment. However, producing cleanroom packaging requires special attention, as it has to meet very high hygiene requirements. The sensitive devices that are stored and transported in them must not be contaminated.

Cleanroom containers are ideal for the safe and hygienic storage of sensitive products, such as medical devices, electronic components and other sensitive products.

From order clarification, consultation and design...
After the consultation and order clarification, the design team set to work. This included the design drawing on the screen, the evaluation of the right containers including suitable interior fittings.

The customer's challenge was to store a large piece of equipment in an airtight and sterile environment and to transport it safely. The Verpatec team used a PELI™ container that was equipped for cleanroom use.

... through to rapid implementation - everything from a single source
The Verpatec team was able to implement the customer project with over 100 units within a very short space of time, as everything was manufactured on site in the company's own production halls. It only took a few weeks from consultation, development and production to delivery.

What are cleanrooms?
Cleanrooms are specially controlled environments in which the concentration of particles such as dust, germs or other contaminants is strictly regulated. Equipment, tools and other sensitive items must be packaged hygienically, airtight and dust-free in such environments to ensure their integrity and functionality.

Cleanrooms are used, for example, in the cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical industries, the automotive sector, medical and aerospace technology and for the production of semiconductor and computer technology. These cleanrooms are used to manufacture products that must not come into contact with dust or other particles that are barely visible in the air. For example, pharmaceutical products such as sterile medicines or bandages are manufactured in cleanrooms.
